Abstract: La conoscenza veicolata dai testi leopardiani è di tipo metaforico – se per metafora si intende un modo di funzionamento del pensiero, che per analogia si ‘diverte’ a trovare rapporti tra i più diversi aspetti del reale, e in tal modo a sostituire la tradizionale logica razionale con una conoscenza alogica, asistematica e geniale. Tale percorso è seguito attraverso l’analisi di metafore, come quella del punto, presenti in alcune Operette e in alcuni Canti. / The kind of knowledge conveyed by Leopardi’s texts is metaphorical – if with metaphor we mean a particular mode of thought that ‘enjoys’ to find analogical relationships between very different aspects of reality, and to replace in this way the traditional, rational logic with an alogical, unsystematic and ingenious knowledge. This path is followed by way of the analysis of metaphors, such as the point metaphor, in some of the Operette and the Canti.
